Hi, I'm Courtney.

I grew up in South Africa, and moved to the UK in December 2018.

I brought my husband, and our precious little cat, Truffle-Puff (I had nothing to do with naming her, that was all hubby, I swear!)

Having first picked up a camera in my mid-teens; I wanted to do something great with my high school experience, and my new school was offering Photography.

My teacher told me I had an eye for it, and I loved learning how to develop film in the dark room - I can still smell those chemicals! - and over the course of the next 10 years I strictly dabbled.

In 2014 I got my first paid job as a product photographer, where I worked gruelling hours for next-to-no pay, pouring my soul into learning everything I could about the craft.

Then, as another recession hit South Africa, I found myself having to choose between making money, or following my passion, and sadly, money won.

2015 to 2018 saw me working in nightclubs, and then as a travel agent before my husband and I decided to make the big move over.

I sold anything and everything to fund the trip over, and that included over ten years worth of photography equipment.

I cried.

BUT - we made it over the pond, and were going from strength to strength here, and then WHAM! Pandemic. Perfect.

So, on furlough, I took a chance at another lifelong dream; becoming an author. I wrote and self-published a cheesy rom-com (It's free to read on Wattpad).

And then we decided to have a baby in 2021. What perfect timing it was because my heart couldn't take me going back to work full-time, so I began to plan this journey; getting this little passion project off the ground and really give myself a shot at doing what I love.

I've always done art and drawing, so when it came to the graphic design element, it was a no brainer. I love conceptualising, and putting together the rough drafts, and creating something brand-spanking-new! Or just redesigning something, whatever, I love it all.

That's me in a very basic nutshell! I talk a mile a minute, and in the short sessions we'll have together, I'm sure you'll find out even more.
